First published in 1812, the classic Brothers Grimm tale of a girl with golden hair trapped in a tower by a revengeful witch has lovingly been given the TWP adult pantomime treatment to create a cleverly crafted script bursting with hilarious set pieces and innuendo.
In January 2025, 'Rapornzel' debuted at Boulevard, Newcastle upon Tyne with a record-breaking four week run starring the North-East's 'Queen of Comedy' Miss Rory as Hairy Fairy Dandruff, the 'Toast of the Coast' Dame Patsy and writer/director Tom Whalley himself as 'Pascal the Rascal' alongside the repertory team who have made Newcastle's original adult pantomime a Tyneside institution for eight years.
Widely regarded as "the best one yet", the hair-larious show was enjoyed by thousands and received rave audience reviews and five stars from the Newcastle Evening Chronicle:
